Registration for the March 19-21 Conference of the American Academy of Religion, Western Region is now available online. The conference, which will be held virtually but is technically hosted by the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) in Berkeley, will be of interest to Bay Area scholars working in the area of religious studies. Registration can be found at https://www.aarwr.com/annual-meetings.html. The registration fee is $15 and interested parties need not be an AAR member to attend.
BCSR Visiting Scholar Anna Hennessey will deliver the presidential address the evening of March 20th at 7pm. Dr. Rita Sherma, a professor at GTU, is the Conference’s plenary speaker and will give an important talk about sustainability and social justice the morning of March 20th 10:15-11am.
