Dr. Hothi works at the intersection of semiotics, technology, capital, and religion. Prior to joining the Anthropology Department at the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Hothi received his B.A. in Philosophy from UC Berkeley, his joint-Ph.D. in Anthropology, with subfield specialization in linguistic anthropology, and Asian Languages & Cultures from the University of Michigan.
